Altering darts
Sun, 07/29/2018 - 16:32 - surabeilyIn one video it says how to shorten the darts if a garment has a dart. I dont understand why did we make the darts so long in the first place if they need to be shortened to be used?? Are the original darts not being sewn? How does that work?
Bodice block correcting the shoulder seam length to own measurments
Fri, 09/16/2016 - 18:34 - dorcasdoughtyHello
I am really enjoying the pattern drafting lessons. I find them detailed and logical thank you.
When drafting the shoulder seam according to your instructions the seam is too long. I need it to be 3cm shorter but not sure how to do this and what the affect alteration will have on the the armhole.

Jacket, shoulder shortening and shoulder pads - video session 7
Sun, 02/28/2016 - 03:04 - aussienic76on video session 7 at around the 2 minute mark we watch as they are about to open the sleeve cap seam.
measuring down from the tacking mark we see the tape measure and a pin go in at the 3 cm mark at front and back. Then they say to transfer those marks to the other sleeve but when they measure down again the front measures 2.6cm and the back 4 cm.
what happened to the 3 cm? Does it matter?
Sewing book
Mon, 05/18/2015 - 08:24 - yvelynDear Nehzat,
Your sewing techniques are are so good.. but the updates on your site are so few and widely spaced that one cannot complete a project and move forward. Do you have a book of all your pattern drafting? Would love to purchase the same. Do let me know.

Checking A, B, & C circumference of skirt
Sat, 03/21/2015 - 08:54 - jrmahoneyI am under 5 foot. After drafting the pattern and checking A, B & C circumference, I needed to add to the pattern. Because I am short the length of upper hip is 8 cm and lower hip is 15.2 cm. When adding the extra circumference, I had to bring the new line down 7 cm below the hip line in order to smoothly make the transition. Hoping this is okay? I will check the pattern on fabric.
A line skirt
Mon, 03/16/2015 - 18:04 - ShekinahHi Nehzat
Sorry to bother you. I am wondering when the part D of the A line skirt will be would be posted? Unfortunately, I didn't realise that the video is not complete I have tried replicating the skirt but struggle to see how the yoke facing fits in neatly as it is much shorter than the shell yoke. Alternately, could you please give me a tip to finish it off.
Much appreciated.

Tue, 11/25/2014 - 17:14 - annieannis it possible to see a tutorial of a rolled hem but not using a rolled hem foot, just and ordinary foot?
I have tried to do this but keep running off, and I have been asked to do this for an exam.
Thanks.

Side Bust Dart Drafting (Bust circumference divide by 20?)
Sun, 10/12/2014 - 18:10 - sulochana94Hi, Thank You for such lovely online tutorial. I am trying to draft the bodice pattern from your online video. Whilst drafting, I try to understand the process properly. However, I struggle to understand why we have to divide the bust measurement by 20. Another question is why do we have to add 1.5cm twice to that divided measurement. Although I understand the second '1.5cm' is due to cup size. Many Thanks
