New Video - T-Shirt Remodeling

Learn how to remodel (alter) t-shirts:

  • Make it fitted
  • Remove the sleeves
  • Enlarge the neckline
  • Sew casings around the neckline and arm-holes
  • Run elastic threads trough the casings


Part A
– You will learn how to do the first fitting, pinning new shoulder seams, side seams and darts. Then, baste mark the pin marks, remove the existing sleeves, neckline banding and opening the shoulder seams. Mark and basting the new shoulder seams, darts, and side-seams, cutting the new neckline and armhole for the second fitting.

Part B – You will learn how to do the second fitting, sew the new seams, finish the raw edge and darts by machine. Hem the new neckline, armholes and bottom edge by machine. Learn how to shorten the t-shirt if needed and finish by passing elastic thread trough the casings at the neckline and arm-holes.

Learn how to shorten shoulders and do shoulder pad alterations on jackets.

Part A - In this part you will learn how to do a first fitting, mark the new armhole seam line, pressing, transfer marks from the shell to the lining, altering shoulder pads, and inserting the shoulder pads.
