This lampshade needed a new look, so I covered in black fabric and made my own bias tape out of the same fabric. The lampshade was sewn in pieces to fit and hot glued to the shade. Then the bias was cut and ironed, then pinned in lace before hot gluing it also. The Center of this piece had to be embroidered before putting it on the shade to glue in place.
This is a quick and inexpensive way to spruce up the old lamps. Cover them yourself and you can use whatever accents you want, from piping to decorative trim and beads. Try It!
