fitting pants

hello,I am South African living in Netherlands. To fit a pants,I will do a basic draft, leave wide seam allowances, cut a mock in cheap fabric and then put the pants on and pin it to fit well. It is like making a drape pattern?! always works.Done this for many many items in the past.Good luck!

Pant Pattern Making will be your best shot.

Many people with found that drafting their own pattern, helps them cover the flaws.  I like using the flexible curve ruler to get the shape of my crotch.  Since you have a tummy like most of us, you will have to deepen the curve to accomodate you larger upper hip.

I am not sure how much information I am allow to post.  I have taken a really nice class in pant pattern making and I have had the greatest success.

I have trouble with commerical patterns now, since I am learning pattern making.

You can see some of my work since last year.
