Hi Nehzat,

Thank-You for the sleeve block pattern drafting video, and all the rest of the videos. So far from the pattern making + drafting videos I have learned from you how to draft the skirt, bodice and now sleeve.

I am working on the sleeve now and was wondering if when checking the finished pattern the arm cap does have about 3 cm. of ease but the elbow seems to have 8 cm. of ease and the mid point of upper arm 7 cm.  the mid point of forearm 7 cm.and the wrist 12 cm. is this okay amounts of ease after drafting this pattern or did something go wrong?

Thanks for you help,

Veronica

Re: Sleeve Block Pattern Ease

Dear Veronica,

Thanks so much, I am happy to see that you have learned how to draft your own patterns.

When someone has slimmer arms the difference between the midpoint of the upper arm down to the wrist on the pattern will be greater, than some one who has fuller arms. If you want you can take in some of the excess in these areas.

However the arm cap width and the bicep line will have about the same amount of ease as shown in the semi fitted sleeve video lesson.

Happy sewing,

Nehzat
