 Hello everyone,

My name is Ernestine,I joined back in March but I am going to subscribe for the yearly one soon. I'm an unemployed mother of 4 but they are all grown and out of the house with the exception of one teen.  It's been very relaxing though not working and just being at home taking care of my family. I'm doing things that I never had the chance to do because of taking care of babies and working all the time, but now, I have the opportunity to do a lot of things and I found sewing again.  Sewing was something that I always wanted to learn even as a child, my mom used to sew, so I wanted to learn as well, but I got so frustrated with it because I didn't have someone who could take the time to teach me.  Now that I'm an adult and have this new found time on my hands I decided to re-learn the skill and I'm so glad that I did, It has truly become a passion now.  I watch all the programs that I can about sewing on tv and I have become a fashion junkie looking for sites that sell discount fabrics, which there are a whole lot, sites that sell patterns old and new and sites that can teach me how to sew like eSewing.  When I came across this site I was so happy, it has everything and I can't wait to get started learning.  I'm currently taking a class outside the home but this will be a great source for projects to learn on my own at home.  I have most of the equipment I need with the exception of a large table but I find ways to work around it.  Eventually, I would like to start sewing clothes for my family and myself and maybe branch out into making clothes for other people or becoming a seamstress.  I looked online at indeed.com for seamstress work and I was surprised at all the opportunity out there for seamstresses, that moivated me even more.  So I'm looking forward to chating with all and getting ideas and suggetion and just making new friend from all over the world here.  Thanks for listening....Ernestine :)
