I asked this question in wrong section so I'm trying here, well anyway I have a pair of pants that need to be taking in at the inner seam 1 1/2inches I want to find out do I take the whole 1 1/2in. on both legs or I take half of that 1 1/2in. which would be 3/4in  on both legs. and when I do, do I start from the bottom of the pants all the way up til the croch of the pants. if you can give me some answers I would appreciate it.
                                                                                                          Thank You

Re: Pants Alteration, Inner Seam

 Dear Natsumi,

From what I understand, you have one and a half inch to take in, in total, from the hemline up. To do this you will take in half of this amount from the seam line, tapering the seam line as you gradually reach somewhere between the knee and the crotch.

Hope this helps.

Happy sewing,

Nehzat
