Good Day

Please help me with the drafting of the front and back bodice block pattern.  New member and thank you for answering my question on rounding.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I'm drafting a bodice block pattern, and the H mark to the U mark is almost right under each other, which make it look almost straight when connected on the back pattern. Now also the side seam on the back bodice block pattern, the W and S line, when I measure the side seam measure from S up on this line, it is passing the W mark by about 1.5 - 2.5cm.  This is what I did to correct the problem, I extended the back bodice length from 40.7cm to 51.9cm to get the bust point. Please let me know if this was the right thing to do.

Presently I'm drafting the front bodice block pattern, I'm trying to get my side seam, and you said to go pass the J mark a little below the armpit line.  I'm having a problem, measuring up from the Q mark to get my side seam, due to the reason, the side seam measurement is falling exactly on the J mark.  Please help me I'm getting frustrated.

RE: Pattern Issue

Dear Donna

Hope you are well.

Please make sure that the measurement for shoulder width and back armpits are correct.

Make sure the back and front bodice lenghts as well as the side seam lenghts are done correctly.

When drafting patterns we always rely on the measurements that we take. And make sure that the measurements are done recorrectly, by following the instructions in the video, and we never should increase or decrease the measurement when drafting block patterns.

Please re-take all the measurements again by following the instructions in the video and reply to this post with the measurement you get and I will be able to answer you questions according to the new measurements you take.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Regards,

Nehzat
