Hi Nahzat,

What is the technique for hand sewing with triple threads? What kind of project would that be used for? Cushions? I think saw something on it on your site but can't seem to locate it now.

Thank you for the esewing site. I'm loving it and learning so much  I  now try to emulate your lovely careful way of stitching especially when doing hand sewing and it it's starting to look pretty good  - if I may say so myself! I have even used some of the different stitches to give the odd thing a bit of a lift. It's great fun. My next endeavour will be learning how to use a block pattern, although I'm not sure I'm quite at that level yet.

Kate

Re: Triple Threaded Needle

Dear Kate,

Thank you so much for the kind words. You can use a triple threaded needle in embroidery. Using more strands will make the embroidery stitches stand out.

You can also use two or more strands to sew on a button faster (using less stitches). However if your fabric is light weight it is better to use a double threaded needle to reduce the bulk, especially when securing the thread.

Happy sewing,

Nehzat
