Hello everyone

I am new here and I have a question about tension and zigzag stitching.

I just purchased a Sailrite zigzag machine and when trying to adjust the tension I am getting a funky result.

It stitches zigzag a few stitches but then goes straight

after trying to readjust I am now getting the  pulling down the center as well and the previous issue

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you

Gail

Re: Zigzag issue with Sailrite sewing machine

Dear Gail,

Welcome to eSewingWorkshop, it could be that your needle is not large enough for your fabric. Try larger size needles to see the result. For larger size needles you need to use thicker thread as well. Try lowering the tension to fix the thread pulling issue. The best thing to do is try different settings and needle and threads to get the perfect combination for your fabric.

Happy sewing,

Nehzat
