Thank you for your previous help with princess seams.
I have drafted the basic block for trousers and wanted to create a wide leg pant, while keeping the waist, darts etc. I have learned from other sources that I can widen at the UPPER THIGH but that measurement isnt in the video. I took that measurement and added it to the block, and began to widen from the lower hip (outer seam ine) and the upper thigh (inner seam line)Two questions: Is this a correct assumption and is there a video on widening pants?
I appreciatae the video tutorials very much and I could use help before I begin cutting fabric.

Re: wide pants adjustment

Dear Missrefano,

From the explanation you gave, it looks like you have done the adjustments successfully, to widen the upper thigh.

You can also watch Chapert 5 of our Pants Pattern Styling Video lesson entitled Styling the Pants Block Pattern: Straight Style. Here you will find an explanation on how I widen the legs of the pants block pattern.

Hope this helps.

Happy Sewing,

Nehzat
